Today

Okay, the first draft of the paper has been submitted. I am so tired of writing and this is the draft. I still have a long way to go on this one and only two weeks of school left. Oh' well!

We had a very nice dinner at church tonight. It was a volunteer appreciation dinner. There were about 150 people and plenty of food.

Brookley and I have been talking about "life". Her friend is upset that his dad is too strict on him. She told him that his dad isn't trying to be hard, it is just he wants the best for his children. I was proud of her for giving that advice. She is getting more responsible each day.

I am tired so... good night.

Post number 1 of my random blog!

My life? Where to begin?? Well, this is me. I am 42 years old as of November 26th. I am married and have two children. My husband and I have been foster parents for 11 years.

I work full-time at my church office and I have been attending school for the past year. So far, doing well. I am transferring from my community college in January to go online with University of Phoenix. I am very excited about that. I have a great advisor who is helping me through the transition.

I am pursuing a degree in Psychology. I love working with people in the foster care system and also in the church. In the future, I hope to work more with families in need.

I homeschool my children. They are both doing great! I am very proud of them. I hope we will be able to continue homeschooling until both of them graduate. Brookley only has two years left and Clifton is in the fifth grade. We get to spend more time together and that is great! I so love my kids!

Well this is enough for a start. I have a research paper due tomorrow, so I had better get to work.
